F-Zero Climax Coming to Switch Online

Launching October 11, 2024

F-Zero GP Legend and F-Zero Climax

These classic racers join the expanding library of GBA games available to subscribers. The F-Zero series, known for its groundbreaking speed and intense competition, first debuted in Japan over 30 years ago. Its influence can be seen in other popular racing franchises.

Similar to Mario Kart, players race to the finish line, navigating challenging tracks and battling opponents in their unique F-Zero machines. Series icon Captain Falcon even makes appearances in Super Smash Bros.!

F-Zero: GP Legend, initially released in Japan in 2003 and internationally in 2004, will be joined by the long-awaited F-Zero Climax. This Japan-exclusive title, released in 2004, marks the last entry in the series before F-Zero 99 for the Switch last year. Game designer Takaya Imamura has previously cited the popularity of Mario Kart as a factor in the F-Zero series' hiatus.

This October 2024 update brings the exciting opportunity to experience both F-Zero Climax and F-Zero: GP Legend on the Switch. Compete in Grand Prix, story, and time trial modes for the ultimate racing experience.
