NetEase Games has exciting news for fans of Marvel Rivals, as they plan to introduce a new hero every month and a half with the rollout of additional seasons. In an interview with Metro, the studio's creative director, Guangyun Chen, outlined the team's ambitious post-launch strategy. Chen confirmed that a new playable character will be released every half-season, which translates to a new hero approximately every six weeks.

"Every season we'll be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We'll actually be breaking down each season into two halves," Chen explained. "The length of one season is three months. And for each half of the season, we will introduce a new hero. We just eventually want to continue to enhance the experience, and, you know, keep everyone excited in our community."

As each season progresses, fans are left eagerly anticipating the next hero reveal. Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls set a high bar by introducing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in the first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second half, scheduled to launch soon. These iconic characters have undoubtedly bolstered the game's roster, but maintaining this level of excitement and quality will be a significant challenge for NetEase.

The game launched with a robust lineup of heroes, including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm, yet there are still many beloved characters yet to be included. Rumors suggest that Blade may join the roster in Season 2, while fans are also hopeful for the addition of characters like Daredevil, Deadpool, and other X-Men members. Although the specifics of future roster expansions remain under wraps, NetEase's ongoing success with Marvel Rivals indicates a commitment to continuous development and enhancement.

Season 1 also brought a series of balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised for the future.
