Marvel Rivals' Invisible Woman Exposes Potential Bot Problem

The newly released Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals is unexpectedly revealing a potential problem: players suspect an increase in AI-controlled bot opponents. This suspicion has been brewing for weeks, with many believing developer NetEase Games is utilizing bots to maintain player engagement. The introduction of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in Season 1 has only intensified this debate.

A Reddit user, barky1616, shared a video demonstrating a peculiar tactic using Invisible Woman's invisibility. The video shows Sue Storm becoming invisible and inexplicably blocking the progress of half the opposing team simply by standing in their path. The opponents don't attempt to circumvent her until she exits invisibility, at which point the battle resumes normally. This unusual behavior is fueling speculation about a growing bot issue in Marvel Rivals.

The theory is that these AI opponents are unable to recognize the obstruction caused by the invisible hero. While replicating this tactic may yield varied results, the video itself is raising concerns within the community.

NetEase has yet to officially comment on the alleged presence of bots in Marvel Rivals. IGN has contacted NetEase for clarification.

Despite the bot controversy, Season 1's content update is generally well-received. While only half of the Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman) were initially released, The Thing and Human Torch are expected to arrive soon. Alongside the new characters, players are also discussing the recent balance changes, NetEase's actions against mods, and the mixed reception to Reed Richards' in-game portrayal.
