NetEase Games has announced a ban on players using keyboard and mouse adapters with PS5 and Xbox Series consoles in Marvel Rivals. The company cites unfair advantages gained from increased control sensitivity and aiming assistance provided by these adapters (XIM, Cronus Zen, Titan Two, KeyMander, and Brook Sniper). NetEase defines these adapters as devices emulating gamepad control via keyboard and mouse, creating an imbalance, particularly in competitive modes. The company employs detection tools to identify and ban offending accounts.
Separately, a correlation has been observed between higher FPS and increased ping in Marvel Rivals. While less noticeable at low ping, a jump to 150ms from a typical 90ms can significantly impact gameplay. This issue appears linked to frame rate. Until a patch addresses this, players are advised to experiment with FPS settings, with some suggesting maintaining around 90 FPS as a potential workaround, despite this seeming low compared to other titles.
