Marvel Rivals Season 1: A New York City-Themed Map Expansion
Marvel Rivals' first season continues to expand with exciting new content. Beyond the Fantastic Four heroes and cosmetic additions, several new maps themed around Marvel's New York are being introduced. This guide details each new map in Season 1.

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown
Launching alongside Season 1, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown is a Convoy map designed for Marvel Rivals' payload-style game mode. Players either escort or defend a moving vehicle across the map. This is the third Convoy map in Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.
Midtown depicts a New York City shrouded in the darkness of Dracula's Blood Moon. Points of Interest include iconic Marvel locations and real-world Midtown Manhattan landmarks:

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum
This unique Empire of Eternal Night version of Doctor Strange's Sanctum Santorum is Season 1's exclusive Doom Match map. Doom Match is a free-for-all deathmatch; top-ranking players earn wins, with the best player receiving MVP.
The Sanctum Santorum is a meticulously crafted depiction of Doctor Strange's home and headquarters, first appearing in a 1963 comic and famously featured in the MCU. In Rivals, it serves as Earth's supernatural defense, filled with secrets, easter eggs, impossible architecture, and even a visitable Bats the Ghost Dog.
Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park
Expected to launch later in Season 1, Central Park is set in Manhattan, between the Upper West and East Sides. Previously featured in various Marvel media (most recently in Marvel's Spider-Man 2), this map will likely center around a stylized Belvedere Castle, situated at a high point in the park, fitting perfectly with the Empire of Eternal Night theme.
