Are you ready to ascend to the rank of Sorcerer Supreme? Marvel Snap has just launched a thrilling new limited-time mode called Sanctum Showdown, and it's here to shake up your gameplay for the next two weeks. This event introduces a unique way to compete, featuring a different win condition, a special Sanctum location, and innovative snapping mechanics.
In the Sanctum Showdown mode, the traditional six-turn game is replaced with a race to 16 points. The key to victory lies in the Sanctum location, which awards the highest points each turn. Snapping mechanics have also been revamped; starting from turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum's value by one point, keeping the game's momentum dynamic and exciting.
Each match in Sanctum Showdown requires one Scroll to enter, but a win rewards you with another Scroll, allowing you to keep the action going. You begin with 12 Scrolls and receive two more every eight hours. If you run out, you can purchase additional Scrolls for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match's outcome, you'll progress in your Sorcerer Rank and earn Charms, which you can spend in the Sanctum Shop on cosmetics or new cards.
Thinking of using Captain Marvel or Dracula to gain an edge? Think again! Certain cards and locations are banned in this mode to ensure fair play. Abilities that affect final outcomes are disabled, and cards like Debrii are excluded to prevent one-sided strategies. If you're eyeing cards like Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive opportunity to acquire them before they become available in the Token Shop on March 13th. Portal Pulls offer a chance to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.
Sanctum Showdown will be available in Marvel Snap until March 11th. For more details, visit the official website.
