Metaphor: ReFantazio Party Member Recruitment Guide: A Detailed Timeline
Beyond the protagonist, seven companions will join your adventure in Metaphor: ReFantazio, each contributing unique combat abilities. While Gallica is present from the outset, her combat participation is limited initially.
Spoiler Warning: This guide reveals the recruitment dates of each party member. Reading further may spoil aspects of the game's narrative.
Each party member awakens to a unique Archetype, usable by any party member once unlocked. Early recruits may be initially AI-controlled before gaining full control.
Party Member Recruitment Dates:

Strohl (Warrior): Joins on June 5th (Border Fort events), awakens and becomes fully controllable on June 6th (Nord Mines).

Grius: Joins after the Border Fort events, but becomes a controllable party member on June 6th after Strohl's awakening. Grius does not undergo an Archetype awakening.

Hulkenberg (Knight): Begins interacting with the party on June 10th. Awakens and joins the party fully on June 11th (during a boss fight).

Heismay (Thief): Awakens and joins the party on July 4th within Martira's main dungeon.

Junah (Masked Dancer): Awakens and joins the party on August 13th.

Eupha (Summoner): Joins the party on the day you complete the Dragon Temple Dungeon during free time in Viraga Island (August 19th - September 4th). Her Bond quest becomes available after this period.

Basilio (Berserker): Awakens and joins the party on September 11th (Saint's Day events). Full combat participation is available the following day.
