Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards Program Launches January 7th
Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests for PC users and boosting earning opportunities. However, access to these enhanced features is exclusively for players aged 18 and older.
This update brings a multifaceted approach to earning points, including daily, weekly, and monthly Quests. The popular weekly streaks are returning, allowing players to multiply their point earnings by maintaining consistent gameplay. Players can earn points by playing any Game Pass title for a minimum of 15 minutes. Specific Quest types include:
- Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily for at least 15 minutes of gameplay.
- Weekly Streaks: Earn points for playing at least five days a week, with multipliers increasing up to 4x for four-week streaks.
- Monthly 4-Pack & 8-Pack: Explore the Game Pass catalog by playing four or eight different games (15 minutes each) per month. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
- PC Weekly Bonus: Earn 150 points for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
The Rewards Hub, accessible via Xbox consoles, the Xbox app (Windows PC and mobile), will no longer be available to users under 18. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate experiences, stating that players under 18 can only earn rewards through parental purchases from the Microsoft Store.
This revamp provides more engaging ways for eligible players to maximize their Game Pass subscription, offering a more rewarding and interactive experience. The changes are designed to encourage exploration of the extensive Game Pass library and reward consistent engagement.
