Monster Hunter Wilds: Second Open Beta Announced for February!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't despair! A second chance to hunt is coming in February, bringing with it new monsters and content. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
This extended beta test will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
New Monster and Content:
The highlight? Hunters can now face off against the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster from previous titles. While progress won't carry over, character data from the first beta can be transferred to the full game. Participating in the beta also nets you in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team received many requests from players who missed the first opportunity or wanted a repeat experience. He also confirmed the development team is diligently working on finalizing the full game. Note that the recent pre-launch community update fixes will not be included in this beta.
Mark your calendars! Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to hunt!
