Eerie Worlds features a visually diverse roster of monsters inspired by real-world folklore and mythology.
The game boasts an impressive range of creatures, encompassing Japanese Yokai (like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna), Slavic monsters (such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav), and many more from around the globe, including Bigfoot, Mothman, and El Chupacabra. Each card includes detailed, researched descriptions, enhancing the learning experience.
The game features four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating strategic depth through varied monster properties. Players build a "Grimoire," their personal monster collection, leveling up by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 basic cards, the Grimoire expands through merging, with more cards promised soon.
Avid Games plans to add two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring ongoing strategic challenges.
