Ninja Gaiden 4 Reveal

A New Era of Ninjas

Developed collaboratively by Team Ninja and PlatinumGames, Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces a fresh protagonist: Yakumo, a young ninja from the rival Raven clan, striving to achieve mastery. Art Director Tomoko Nishii (PlatinumGames) describes Yakumo as a character designed to stand alongside Ryu Hayabusa, the epitome of a ninja. Producer and Director Yuji Nakao (PlatinumGames) explains the decision to introduce a new hero: "We wanted a new hero to make the series more approachable for new players, while ensuring long-time fans enjoy the game. Ryu Hayabusa plays a significant role, serving as a major challenge for Yakumo." Rest assured, Ryu Hayabusa remains playable and a central figure in the narrative.

Revitalized Combat

Ninja Gaiden 4 promises the series' signature brutal, fast-paced combat, enhanced by a new combat style for Yakumo: the Bloodbind Ninjutsu Nue Style, alongside the Raven Style. Director Masazaku Hirayama (Team Ninja) assures fans that while distinct, both styles maintain the core Ninja Gaiden feel. Nakao highlights the blend of classic Ninja Gaiden challenge with PlatinumGames' dynamic action. The game is currently 70-80% complete and in the polishing stage.
