Due to unexpected high demand, Nintendo has delayed the general release of the Alarmo alarm clock in Japan. Initially scheduled for February 2025, the launch has been postponed indefinitely due to production and inventory limitations.
This delay affects only the general Japanese release. For now, the international release remains on track for March 2025. However, there's currently no word on whether this might impact other regions.
To address the shortage, Nintendo Japan will offer a pre-order period exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers in Japan, starting mid-December with shipments beginning in early February 2025. The precise pre-order date will be announced shortly.
The Alarmo, a popular interactive alarm clock featuring music from various Nintendo franchises (Super Mario, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, RingFit Adventure, and more), initially launched in October 2024. Its immediate popularity overwhelmed Nintendo, leading to the cessation of online orders and a lottery system for purchasing. Both online and physical stocks quickly sold out in Japan and even at the New York Nintendo store.
Keep an eye out for further announcements regarding the pre-order launch and the rescheduled general sale date in Japan.
