From the PlayStation Blog, here's the official description:

In Nioh 3, you play as a young warrior on a path to become the next Shogun, driven to confront yokai in a gripping narrative. While we’ll reveal more story details later, players can now engage in battles using two distinct combat styles: Samurai and Ninja.
The Samurai style mirrors the intense, close-quarters combat of past Nioh games, with new mechanics like Arts Proficiency to boost martial arts power and Deflect for precise, last-second blocks, delivering thrilling, high-stakes duels.
The Ninja style emphasizes agility, with swift dodges and aerial maneuvers. Players can leverage “Ninjitsu” techniques like Mist, creating a decoy after an attack, or Evade, enabling narrow escapes from enemy strikes, allowing for rapid, devastating attacks from unexpected angles.
Switch between Samurai and Ninja styles on the fly to adapt to enemies and environments, or stick to one style for a tailored challenge. Whether you favor seamless transitions or a single approach, face the fiercest foes yet in a dynamic, player-driven experience.
Beyond new combat styles, Nioh 3 introduces open-world exploration, blending the series’ signature tension with newfound freedom. Encounter formidable yokai, uncover dark secrets in eerie villages, and tackle the trials of The Crucible in a cursed kingdom brimming with danger.

At IGN, we’re huge Nioh fans, having rated the original Nioh 9.6/10 for its “unforgettable adventure and finely balanced combat system.” Nioh 2 earned a 9/10 for its “stellar combat and rewarding difficulty,” despite its complex systems. Since Nioh 2’s 2020 release, Team Ninja has delivered titles like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Rise of the Rōnin, and the forthcoming Ninja Gaiden 4.
