Nonogram Puzzle App Marks 10 Years on Mobile

Author : Camila May 21,2025

A decade ago, Picture Cross launched under the name World's Biggest Picture Cross, setting out to become the ultimate nonogram app for mobile devices. Now, boasting over 10,000 puzzles, Picture Cross is celebrating its 10th anniversary with exciting new modes and even more puzzles for players to enjoy.

Play the Game if You Haven’t Already

Picture Cross offers an expansive collection of puzzles, featuring various grid sizes and difficulty levels ranging from Easy to Expert. The gameplay remains true to the classic nonogram format where you use number clues to fill in the correct squares, gradually unveiling a pixel art image.

The images you unlock are part of themed packs and hidden poster scenes. The game includes over 60 themed puzzle packs. Dive into Motorsport for a hundred fast-paced puzzles, or explore the cosmos with Moonshot, a space-themed set of 100 challenges.

For those with different interests, Mini Golf caters to nostalgic course lovers, Rockstar appeals to music fans, and Sci-Fi Celebration is perfect for enthusiasts of aliens and warp drives. Mythical Monsters, Fairy Tales, and Archaeology allow you to immerse yourself in legendary creatures, timeless stories, or ancient ruins.

For a more realistic touch, try A Day At The Races or The Airport, each revealing a fresh scene. Pirates! offers a wild shipload of puzzles. And if you've conquered all the packs, the Encyclopedia of Picture Cross provides a remixed collection to keep the challenge alive.

Celebrate Picture Cross 10th Anniversary with New Routes and Modes

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Picture Cross introduces a Map View to help you strategize your puzzle-solving journey. A new Tournament Mode is now available for competitive puzzlers. Additionally, a comprehensive playing guide offers solving strategies. Both classic and multi-color puzzles are accessible in all modes.

Pete Williamson, CEO of puzzling.com, the game's creators, expressed his delight at Picture Cross reaching this milestone. He extended a heartfelt thank you to the fans and hinted at more updates planned for 2025 and beyond. You can explore Picture Cross on the Google Play Store.
