When asked about the possibility of portraying himself in the movie version of Death Stranding, which is being developed by Michael Sarnoski and A24, Reedus responded with enthusiasm. "If it was an option, yeah, for sure," he said, adding, "I don’t know what’s happening with it. It’s so pre pre pre right now. But yeah, of course."

Reedus also addressed his initial confusion with the first game and how he feels about diving into the second installment. He expressed deep trust in the visionary creator Hideo Kojima, stating, "As far as working with him and understanding where his head’s at, I don’t think anybody can understand where his head’s at. He’s just that guy, he’s out there and he’s got great ideas." He added that he had a better grasp of the storyline this time around, noting, "But story-wise, I did know what was happening more. There’s more action in it, there’s more of a definite goal to get to."
Despite the complexities and wild nature of the Death Stranding universe, Reedus remains thrilled to be a part of it. "It’s always a trip working on those things," he shared with IGN. "It’s great, but it’s wild."
