This game introduces us to its protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi, whose character model is strikingly based on the legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune. The trailer showcases Musashi fearlessly battling demons that have surged from the depths of hell into the historic city of Kyoto. There's a humorous twist as well, with Musashi occasionally attempting to evade these otherworldly foes.
The narrative reveals that Musashi, empowered by his faith, becomes the bearer of the Oni Gauntlet. His mission is to combat the monsters that have invaded the realm of the living, absorbing their souls to not only restore his health but also to unleash powerful special abilities.
