Orna, The GPS MMORPG, Is Dropping Terra's Legacy To Raise Environmental Awareness

Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is launching Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event tackling real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will combat pollution-themed enemies and contribute to real-world cleanup efforts.

Combating Pollution, Virtually and Physically

Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world environmental action. Players will identify polluted locations in their real-world surroundings and report them through the Orna app. Northern Forge will then transform these locations into in-game "Gloomsites," representing polluted areas.

At these Gloomsites, players battle the Murk, a pollution-themed enemy, earning rewards and contributing to raising awareness about environmental issues. Defeating the Murk allows players to plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples within the game, enhancing their characters and boosting magical abilities. These Gaia apples can also be harvested by other players, fostering collaboration and shared rewards.

Part of the Green Game Jam 2024

Terra's Legacy is part of the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual event where game developers collaborate to create environmentally conscious in-game experiences. By participating, players directly contribute to raising awareness and promoting environmental responsibility.
