The Greater Jeweller's Orb is crucial in Path of Exile 2, adding a fourth link to your skill gems—a significant upgrade for endgame builds. This allows you to equip additional support gems, boosting damage and survivability. Unfortunately, both Greater and Perfect Jeweller's Orbs are incredibly rare drops. However, there are strategies to improve your chances of obtaining them.
How to Farm Greater Jeweller's Orb in PoE 2
The 
Greater Jeweller's Orb is a rare drop, technically possible from any monster. However, realistically, your best bet is the late-game, specifically Tier 10+ maps.
Breaches are particularly effective due to the high number of monsters encountered. While a powerful wave-clearing build isn't mandatory, it significantly speeds up the process. The rarity of your Waystones heavily influences potential drops, and always use Precursor Tablets on nearby Towers to boost item quantity and rarity. Here's a breakdown of an optimal farming setup:

How Local Knowledge Works
The Atlas skill node, Local Knowledge, is often misunderstood. It doesn't directly increase drop rates, but it biases the drops towards Socket Currency (+40%) in Grass biomes. 
Lesser, Greater, and 
Perfect Jeweller's Orbs are considered Socket Currency. Therefore, Local Knowledge significantly increases your chances of obtaining them in Grass biomes.
However, Local Knowledge also increases drops of less desirable items in other biomes (Baryas and Ultimatums in Deserts, Gold in Mountains). Consider respeccing out of Local Knowledge when farming outside Grass, Forest, or Swamp biomes. Here are Grass biome maps ideal for farming:

How to Trade For Greater Jeweller's Orb in PoE 2
Trading is a more reliable method. The in-game currency exchange offers a safe and convenient way to determine the current market value and purchase the orb using Exalted or Divine Orbs. The trading website might offer cheaper prices, but carries a higher risk of scams.
For the in-game exchange (accessible after Act 3 Cruel), specify "Greater Jeweller's Orb" as "I Want" and your currency (Exalted/Divine Orbs) as "I Have". Place an order at or slightly above the market price for immediate fulfillment.
On the trading website, filter by "Exalted Orb" under Buyout Price (note that the site equates 10 Exalted Orbs to 1 Divine Orb). Use the "Direct Whisper" or "Copy Whisper" feature to contact sellers in-game.
