Path of Exile 2: Unearthing the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded with NPCs to advance a questline; instead, they're valuable commodities. This guide details their location and purpose.
Finding the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), the Vaal civilization at its zenith. Five Golden Idols are scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat. They aren't dropped by enemies but found in side rooms or on pedestals.

- Elegant Idol
Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and sell them to Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll offer a substantial sum for each:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable sellables, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
