Attention Peaky Blinders enthusiasts — we are returning to the world of the Shelbys. Netflix and the BBC have officially greenlit a sequel series with a two-season order.

Set in 1950s Britain, the new show will feature six hour-long episodes per season, though casting details are still under wraps. However, one exciting piece of news has been confirmed: original star Cillian Murphy will serve as executive producer.

According to the BBC, the official synopsis states: "Britain, 1953. After suffering heavy bombardment in WWII, Birmingham is rebuilding a better future from concrete and steel. In Steven Knight's next chapter of Peaky Blinders, the race to control the city's massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of epic proportions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and peril, with the Shelby family at its bloody core."

Creator Steven Knight expressed his excitement: “I am delighted to announce this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders saga. Once again, the story will be rooted in Birmingham, depicting a city rising from the ashes of the Blitz. A new generation of Shelbys now takes the helm, and it promises to be a thrilling ride.”

Fans have even more to anticipate, as a film sequel titled *The Immortal Man* is scheduled for release next year. The movie will continue the story from the series finale, with Murphy starring alongside Stephen Graham, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth, and Rebecca Ferguson.

While official release dates for both the new series and the film have yet to be announced, updates are expected soon as we approach the end of the year.
