Persona 5: The Phantom X is officially coming to global audiences, with Android pre-registrations now open. Following the previously announced June 26, 2025 Japanese release date, SEGA and Atlus have confirmed the same date for its worldwide debut.
Originally launched in China before expanding to Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong across Android, iOS, and PC platforms, this mobile adaptation will now receive a full global rollout. Developed by Black Wing Game Studio with guidance from former Persona 5 developers, Phantom X adopts a free-to-play model featuring character gacha mechanics.
Persona 5: The Phantom X Global Pre-Registration Now Available
The international version will include Japanese voiceovers with optional English or Japanese subtitles. Fans can secure early access by pre-registering through the Google Play Store, with a new trailer introducing the game's fresh take on the Phantom Thieves universe.
Phantom X features an original protagonist leading a brand-new team of Phantom Thieves through stylized Tokyo locations with completely new Palaces and Mementos. The game retains the series' iconic blend of social simulation and dungeon crawling, complete with turn-based combat and daily life management.
New gameplay elements include a guild system and Velvet Trials PvE mode, alongside returning characters from Persona 5. The narrative begins with the protagonist awakening from disturbing dreams into an alternate reality, where they encounter the mysterious owl Lefaye and the familiar Velvet Room residents.
