Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed a successor: Project R.I.S.E. This isn't simply a relaunch; it's a completely new game.
The Details on Project R.I.S.E.
Clash Heroes is officially discontinued. However, its core concept lives on in Project R.I.S.E., a social action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe. Supercell's announcement video, featuring game lead Julien Le Cadre, confirmed the shift from a single-player experience to a multiplayer-focused action RPG.
Project R.I.S.E. will differ significantly from Clash Heroes. It's a fresh creation, emphasizing cooperative gameplay. Players will team up in groups of three to ascend The Tower, a mysterious location with procedurally generated floors. The objective is to reach the highest level possible. Unlike its predecessor's PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. prioritizes collaborative exploration and diverse character interactions.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Interested players can register on the official website for a chance to participate.
