Indie developer Theo Clarke's Plantoons transforms your backyard into a vibrant battle arena where plants wage war against invading weeds. This quirky tower defense game shares similarities with Plants vs. Zombies, but adds a unique twist on gameplay.
The Plantoons Gameplay
Your garden becomes a gladiator's coliseum as plant warriors defend against relentless waves of weeds. Unlike static plant placement, Plantoons features plant leveling and upgrades, enhancing your leafy army as you progress through increasingly challenging weed invasions.
The game starts with selecting a plant from your arsenal and deploying it strategically on the battlefield. Your mission: repel the ever-growing weed threat (hopefully less terrifying than their zombie counterparts!).
Throughout the game, you collect reward cards that provide various boosts to your plant army. These cards allow for attack enhancements, defensive fortifications, or increased pollen production. Strategic plant placement is key to building an effective defensive line.
Each plant boasts unique abilities and stats. Completing challenges expands your Card Bank, enabling customization and strategic deck building to optimize your plant army.
