May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO enthusiasts, packed with thrilling events and the return of fan-favorite Pokémon. The highlight of the month is undoubtedly the return of the Lake Trio, which will be available in 5-Star Raids across various regions.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th. This Pokémon brings the powerful move Nature's Madness and offers a chance to encounter its Shiny form.
Following Tapu Fini, the Lake Trio will take the stage starting May 12th, with regional appearances: Uxie in the Asia-Pacific, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland. This is a fantastic opportunity for players to catch these legendary Pokémon.
After the Lake Trio's stint, Tapu Bulu will make its appearance in raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature's Madness and a chance at its Shiny form.
For those interested in Mega Raids, May offers an impressive lineup. Mega Houndoom will be available from May 1st to 12th, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and finally, Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month kicks off with the "Growing Up" event from May 2 to 7, accompanied by a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, players can participate in the Crown Clash event, with the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend happening on May 10th and 11th.
Community Day is scheduled for May 11th, with the featured Pokémon yet to be revealed, adding an element of surprise. Crown Clash: Taken Over will run from May 14th to 18th, followed by the Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.
The Final Strike: GO Battle Week will take place from May 21st to 27th, and the May Community Day Classic is set for May 24th. The month concludes with a Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day on May 25, 2025.
