GungHo Entertainment has unveiled a new Disney game. Yes, the team behind Teppen, the crossover card battler, has partnered with Disney to launch a retro-inspired title called Disney Pixel RPG. It’s set to release this year, around September.
What’s Disney Pixel RPG About?
It’s a pixelated Disney universe where you’ll encounter nearly every iconic character from the Disney universe. The roster features Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pooh, Aladdin, Ariel, Baymax, Stitch, Aurora, Maleficent, and even stars from Zootopia and Big Hero 6. You can also create and customize your own unique character.
In the game, Disney characters are being overtaken by strange glitches, plunging their worlds into chaos. Once-separate realms are now merging, leading to astonishing crossovers. Your goal is to join forces with these characters and restore order across the interconnected worlds.
As for gameplay, Disney Pixel RPG blends multiple genres. You’ll engage in battles, action sequences, and rhythm-based challenges across diverse worlds. Jump into fast-paced combat, issue simple commands to your team, or switch to auto mode where your characters fight on their own—it’s essentially an auto-battler. For deeper strategy, use Attack, Defend, and Skill commands.
Customize your avatar with a wide range of hairstyles and outfits. Disney-themed apparel is fully integrated, so you can dress as Mickey Mouse or go all-in with princess gear—whatever fits your style.
