The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has officially kicked off, marking the first major international PUBG Mobile esports event of the year. With over 90,000 competitors vying for a share of the $500,000 prize pool, the Open Qualifiers, which began February 13th, offer a thrilling opportunity for both established and emerging talent.
This year's tournament emphasizes fresh talent by being open to amateur teams exclusively. Teams featuring at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, aspiring squads will compete fiercely for a coveted spot in the PMGO Prelims, where they’ll face off against the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers. Twelve teams will ultimately emerge from this stage to challenge the PUBG Mobile elite in the Main Event.

The PMGO Main Event, scheduled for April 12th-13th, will feature a mix of established and up-and-coming teams. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their places based on their impressive performances at the PMGC 2024. They will be joined by four additional squads, qualifying through various regional competitions including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers run until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th. This tournament marks the beginning of a jam-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC returning later in 2025.
