Uncharted Waters Origin's latest update, "The Lighthouse of the Ruins," introduces a challenging new PvE event, a fresh S-grade Admiral, and several new crew members. This update also brings a new Mate Growth system called Transcendence.
A Monthly PvE Challenge: The Lighthouse of the Ruins
The Lighthouse of the Ruins is a tiered PvE challenge where players ascend through increasingly difficult levels, earning rewards such as Blue Gems and Shipbuilding Accelerations. The event resets monthly, allowing players to retain half their progress from the previous month. Each attempt costs 10 energy, with 8 energy refunded upon failure. Redo items are not permitted, and rank rewards are awarded only once per month.
New Admiral and Crew Members
William Adams, a renowned English navigator, joins the game as a new S-grade Admiral. His story, involving his arrival in Japan aboard the Dutch ship Liefde, adds a compelling narrative element. The update also introduces new Mates: Naoe Kanetsugu and Togo Grimani (normal Mates), and Ga Eunjeong and Tatsumaru (Employee Mates).
Transcendence: Enhanced Mate Growth
The new Transcendence system allows players to enhance their Mates beyond the limits of Premium Training. Once Premium Training is maxed out, Transcendence unlocks, providing an additional Effect slot for the Mate. The required Tome of Transcendence can be obtained from the Lighthouse of the Ruins, Arctic Waters Land Training, and a smuggling ring assistant captain in Cape Town.
Limited-Time Event: Combat Support Special Attendance
Until November 5th, the Combat Support Special Attendance Event offers players valuable rewards simply for logging in. These rewards include 60 Tomes of Transcendence, 40 Highest Combat Appointments, a Birch Board, and equipment such as the Marxbrüder Zweihänder & Rüstung.
