Spiralburst Studio has officially adapted a popular board game into a digital format. Introducing Reiner Knizia’s My City, a strategic city-building experience. This tile-laying board game was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres in 2020 and won the International Gamers Award for Two-Player Games in 2021.
Discover Reiner Knizia’s My City
In My City, the goal is to skillfully place buildings on your personal board to maximize your score. Each round, a card shows which type of building you need to construct—your challenge is to find the best possible spot for it.
Rocks act as obstacles that may block your progress, while preserving trees helps earn additional points. As the game progresses, new rules, scoring changes, and evolving terrain add dynamic layers of strategy.
The digital edition includes a full 24-episode legacy-style Campaign, which steadily introduces gameplay changes through a narrative-driven series of levels.
What’s more, Reiner Knizia’s My City offers modes not found in the physical game. For example, the Randomized Game is an app-only experience that shuffles rules, maps, and even the river layout every time you start a session.
Trees, rocks, and landmarks may appear in new locations, and you can choose to apply campaign rules for a fresh challenge every time. If you prefer the original experience, the Eternal Game provides the classic rule set.
Also exclusive to the app is the Daily Challenge—a worldwide competition using randomly generated boards and rules. Here’s a quick look at the game in action.
Plenty of ways to play!
Reiner Knizia’s My City supports both solo and competitive gameplay. Challenge up to three AI opponents or join online multiplayer with two to four players, including cross-platform support.
Offline play and an interactive tutorial are available for new players. The game also offers accessibility options, such as high-contrast colors, color-blind symbols, and alternative building textures.
Download the game now from the Google Play Store for $6.99.
