The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and the all-new Bridge map. Developer Nosniy Games outlined these additions in today's patch notes, along with a few smaller tweaks. While a relatively minor update compared to some previous releases, it still packs a punch for players.
Given Rivals' focus on FPS gameplay and diverse weaponry, the Gunblade feels perfectly at home. This versatile weapon functions as both a ranged rifle and a close-quarters melee blade, offering strategic advantages and surprising opponents. The new Bridge map perfectly complements the Gunblade's dual nature. This concrete, suspended arena throws players into intense close-quarters combat, with limited cover provided by a few walls and a bus. Located in Seoul and created by @GreatGuyBoom, the Bridge map promises fast-paced, action-packed battles.
Interestingly, Rivals Update 9's patch notes omit specific bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life improvements. The developers explain this decision, prioritizing the addition of the Bridge map and Gunblade. Minor modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins were implemented, along with renaming some weapons. Nosniy Games assures players that more substantial changes, including the highly anticipated Ranked mode, are planned for the next major content update.
"We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked," the team stated.

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
