Finding Rosa's Book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Crucial Side Quest
Missing side quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can lead to missed opportunities, and Rosa's Book is one such quest. This guide details how to locate the book and complete this crucial side quest.
Prerequisites:
Before embarking on this quest, ensure you've completed "Via Argentum" and started "Taking French Leave." You'll need to assist the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through combat or diplomacy. Speaking with Rosa afterwards will initiate the quest.
Locating the Book:
The quest "Rosa's Book" is only accessible during "Taking French Leave." Failing to retrieve the book before rescuing Hans will result in a failed quest and lost romantic opportunities. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your way to Hans.
Upon entering Maleshov, Hans is in the tallest tower. Use the external stairs to access the tower's interior. Inside, you'll find a kitchen area. Wait for the guards patrolling upstairs to clear the area.
Stealthily ascend the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is seated. Knock her out, and collect the keys from her person, the podium, and the sword from the chest. Rosa's book is in this room, resting in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Grab it, and your objective will update.
Additional Actions:
While in this area, retrieve the sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save time later, as you'll need two weapons for Hans and his unexpected guest. Once you've secured both swords, proceed to the top floor, unlock the door on the left, and trigger a cutscene.
Completing the Quest:
After the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Guide Hans to the stables, ensuring his safe passage. Once you've opened the gate and the final cutscene plays, return to Kuttenberg City and deliver Rosa's book to her at Ruthard Palace.
Remember, completing Rosa's Book quest is time-sensitive and directly tied to the "Taking French Leave" questline. Don't miss this opportunity!
