The Sony Bravia XR X93L, launched in March 2023, was positioned as the second highest-end non-OLED TV in Sony's lineup, just below the X95L, which was only available in an 85" size in the US. This model features Mini LED technology, which significantly enhances HDR content viewing. Mini LED panels consist of smaller, more numerous LEDs that can independently turn on and off, thereby improving black levels and contrast ratios.
This TV is also an excellent choice for gamers. It comes equipped with four HDMI ports, including two HDMI 2.1 ports. These allow for 4K resolution at a 120Hz refresh rate, ideal for the latest gaming consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, however, will only reach 60fps in 4K when docked, so HDMI 2.1 isn't necessary for that particular system.
