Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Remember the 2019 release? This time, it's hitting mobile, but will it be a revamped experience or simply a port? Only time will tell.
The game throws you into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, your job is to discreetly erase evidence of mob violence – bodies, bloodstains, the whole shebang – all while dodging patrolling police.
Our previous 2019 review hinted at its potential, but also noted its imperfections. Developer Plug-In Digital is now handling publishing, giving them a chance to refine the game for its mobile debut.
A Funky Return?
Pre-registration is open, with a February 11th, 2025 release date. While a significant overhaul would be welcome, given the time elapsed since the original launch, substantial changes might be optimistic.
The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile re-release dampens expectations slightly. However, for Android users or those experiencing compatibility issues with older iOS versions, this could be a fantastic addition to their mobile game library.
