The new year in Pokémon GO is off to a fantastic start, bringing trainers a fresh batch of Pokémon to add to their collections! Following the arrival of Fidough, get ready to catch Shroodle, a new addition to the Pokémon GO roster. However, unlike many Pokémon, acquiring Shroodle isn't as simple as a chance encounter in the wild.
When Did Shroodle Arrive in Pokémon GO?
Shroodle, the Toxic Mouse Pokémon, made its Pokémon GO debut on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, this Pokémon is a relatively new face in the Pokémon universe. Following the event, Shroodle will remain available for players to catch.
Can Shroodle Be Shiny?
Unlike some recent Pokémon releases, Shroodle is not currently available in its Shiny form in Pokémon GO. Its Shiny variant will likely be introduced in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-type Pokémon or Team GO Rocket.

How to Get Shroodle in Pokémon GO

The trend of newly introduced Pokémon not appearing as wild spawns continues with Shroodle. Instead of appearing on your Nearby radar, you'll need to hatch Shroodle from 12KM Eggs. Currently, this is the only method to obtain Shroodle in Pokémon GO.
12KM Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15th onwards have a chance of hatching into Shroodle. Its hatch rate will likely be higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, but it should remain part of the 12KM Egg pool afterward.
How to Get 12KM Eggs
Since Shroodle is exclusive to 12KM Eggs, a quick reminder on how to obtain these rarer eggs might be helpful. There's only one way to get them:
Defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, and Cliff) or Giovanni in battle. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event is an ideal time to stock up on 12KM Eggs, as Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent, and Rocket Radars will be easier to acquire. However, you can challenge GO Rocket Grunts to encounter these Leaders at any time, earning a 12KM Egg provided you have inventory space.
How to Get Grafaiai in Pokémon GO

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuted in Pokémon GO on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it doesn't hatch from Eggs or appear in the wild. The only way to obtain Grafaiai is by evolving a Shroodle.
Evolving requires 50 Shroodle Candy, so you'll need to hatch several Shroodle or make one your buddy to gather enough Candy.
