Silksong Remains Set for Switch 1
Developer Confirms Ongoing Switch 1 Release Plans
After Silksong briefly appeared in the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, fans speculated that the game might bypass the current-generation console entirely. Originally announced back in 2019 for PC and Switch 1, the game later had its release confirmed for PlayStation and Xbox consoles by developer Team Cherry.
On April 8, Team Cherry’s Matthew Griffin, who handles marketing and PR, posted on Twitter/X to address fan concerns. Griffin confirmed that Silksong will be available on both the original Switch and the upcoming Switch 2.
While specific differences between the two versions haven’t been formally announced, players can anticipate higher resolution and improved performance on the more powerful Switch 2 hardware.
Fresh Silksong Screenshots Shared
