The Sims 1 and 2 Return to PC at Last Today via The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle

Author : Henry Mar 14,2025

Celebrate 25 years of The Sims with the return of the original games! EA and Maxis are giving fans a fantastic anniversary gift: The Sims and The Sims 2 are back on PC, bundled together in the Sims 25th Birthday Bundle, or available separately as The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection.

For $40, the Sims 25th Birthday Bundle offers both collections, each including nearly all expansions and stuff packs. The Sims 2: Legacy Collection is missing only the IKEA Home Stuff pack from 2008. Both collections also include bonus content: The Sims gets the Throwback Fit Kit, and The Sims 2 receives the Grunge Revival Kit.

This marks the first time in over a decade that both games have been readily available digitally. The Sims was only ever released on disc, making it inaccessible to modern players without a physical copy. While The Sims 2 was previously available as an Ultimate Collection, that version was removed from EA's Origin store. Now, all four main Sims games are easily accessible through digital storefronts.

We originally gave The Sims a 9.5/10 and The Sims 2 an 8.5/10. Though the series has evolved significantly, these originals still offer unique charm, simpler gameplay, challenging aspects, and a piece of gaming history worth experiencing.

Grab The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection today on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
