Sony has unveiled a new PlayStation 5 and PC game titled Mukti, secured through its Sony India Hero Project initiative.
Mukti is a first-person narrative exploration game set within an Indian museum. Developer underDOGS Studio describes the game as a deep dive into the critical social issue of human trafficking.

In Mukti, players explore the museum's labyrinthine halls, uncovering the grim truths and hidden stories behind human trafficking. Through immersive storytelling and gameplay, the title confronts players with the realities experienced by victims and survivors, highlighting this urgent global crisis.
Inspired by authentic accounts and thorough historical research, Mukti seeks to raise awareness, stimulate reflection, and motivate action. Every in-game interaction is crafted to foster empathy, encourage discussion, and drive meaningful change.
underDOGS Studio noted its close collaboration with PlayStation to optimize haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the PS5 DualSense controller, aiming to enhance subtle vibrations during quiet puzzle-solving moments.
The studio has also shared provisional PC system requirements for Mukti.

The Steam version will support achievements, family sharing, and full controller compatibility.
In a PlayStation Blog post, Vaibhav Chavan, founder and game director at underDOGS Studio, expressed pride in Sony's support.
"Being selected for the prestigious Sony India Hero Project provided the fuel to realize our vision and reinforced our belief that Indian narratives deserve a global platform," Chavan stated.
"Over a year of collaboration with the talented team at Sony has been incredibly insightful. We are now excited to finally offer a glimpse of our work."
Sony operates several Hero Project programs worldwide to discover major externally developed hits for PlayStation. The initiative provides studios with development, publishing, marketing, and promotional support. Titles like the upcoming Lost Soul Aside are part of the China Hero Project.
