In a remarkable display at the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience in Japan, speedrunner Ikaboze from Japan stunned the audience by completing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in under 10 minutes. As reported by VGC, Ikaboze tackled the challenge with an unfamiliar save file, not knowing what gear Link had at his disposal. Opting for an audacious strategy, he declared he would "defeat the final boss while tied up completely naked and with all my equipment removed." Using this save, Ikaboze swiftly navigated to the climactic battle against Ganon and emerged victorious in just seven minutes, eliciting spontaneous applause from onlookers.

The feat was all the more impressive considering Ikaboze had to contend with an unfamiliar controller and the noisy environment of the convention hall, which drowned out the game's audio. Reflecting on the event, he said, "I was surprised by how many people had gathered. Staff were even filming on their smartphones. This was the first time anyone had completed the Breath of the Wild demo, and staff congratulated me."
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, along with achievements and integration with the new "Zelda Notes" feature in the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original version on the Switch won't automatically receive these enhancements but can opt for a $10 "upgrade pack" to access them. Additionally, both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom upgrade packs are available at no extra cost to Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack subscribers.
