Stellar Blade's Patch 1.009: A Buggy Delight?
Stellar Blade's highly anticipated update, introducing Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, unfortunately shipped with some significant glitches. Shift Up, the developers, are working on a hotfix.
Game-Breaking Bugs and the Upcoming Hotfix
Patch 1.009 caused several game-breaking issues. Players report being softlocked during a main quest in an earlier dungeon, game crashes while using Photo Mode's selfie function, and cosmetic items failing to render correctly on Eve.
Shift Up advises against forcing quest progression. Instead, players should await the hotfix to avoid potential permanent softlocks.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Enhanced Photo Mode
The update delivers the promised NieR: Automata collaboration! Eleven exclusive items are available from Emil, who's set up shop in the game world. This collaboration, inspired by the mutual respect and creativity between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro, adds a significant layer to the Stellar Blade experience.
The much-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further enhance this feature.
Additional Improvements
Along with Photo Mode, the update includes:
- Four new outfits for Eve.
- A new accessory (post-game) altering Tachy Mode's appearance.
- A "No Ponytail" option for increased customization.
- Lip-sync support for six additional languages.
- Improved projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet for the instant death skill.
- Various minor bug fixes.
The hotfix is imminent, promising a smoother and more enjoyable Stellar Blade experience.
