Community suggestions ranged from a Smash TV remake to Star Fox-inspired titles. Pilestedt confirmed that a Smash TV remake has been previously considered, and hinted at a Star Fox-esque "rail game."
While specifics remain under wraps, Arrowhead’s active community engagement is evident. The success of Helldivers 2, a standout title of 2024, sets a high benchmark for their next endeavor.
A recent update for Helldivers 2, including the long-awaited Illuminate enemy faction, the 4x4 Fast Recon Vehicle, and new urban warfare maps, has significantly boosted player numbers on PS5. The update, a surprise reveal at the 2024 Game Awards (shadow-dropped as "Omens of Tyranny"), has been well-received.
This positive reception, coupled with rumors of a Killzone crossover, positions Helldivers 2 for continued success in 2025, leaving fans eagerly anticipating Arrowhead's next project.
