Supergaming\'s Indus surpasses 11 million pre-registrations and introduces new 4v4 deathmatch mode

Author : Ellie Feb 17,2025

Indus, the Indian-made battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This domestically-produced title, designed specifically for Indian players, has also achieved a significant milestone: surpassing 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.

The closed beta now features an enhanced audio experience, thanks to a recent update to sound effects and music. Indus offers standard battle royale gameplay, but also includes innovative features such as a Grudge system that rewards players for engaging in intense rivalries.

Initially announced in 2022, Indus has undergone several beta phases, consistently adding new features and attracting a growing player base. This steady increase in pre-registrations is a positive sign, considering India's booming mobile gaming market.

While surpassing 11 million pre-registrations is impressive, the growth rate has slowed compared to previous milestones. The game reached 10 million pre-registrations in March, indicating a less dramatic increase in recent months.

We eagerly anticipate Indus's public launch. Although new features are always appreciated, the speculated late 2023 release date has passed. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
