Marvel Snap's Amazing Spider-Season Swings into Action!

Marvel Snap Season Pass Art

September brings a new Marvel Snap (Free) season, and it's a web-slinging extravaganza! This season introduces a game-changing mechanic: Activate abilities. Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities let you choose when to trigger a card's effect, offering strategic flexibility and avoiding counter-play targeting On Reveal effects.

New Card Reveal

The Season Pass card, Symbiote Spider-Man (4-Cost, 6-Power), showcases this new mechanic perfectly. His Activate ability lets you absorb the lowest-cost card at a location and copy its text, even re-triggering On Reveal effects! Expect this card to be a major player (and potentially a target for future nerfs).

Here's a rundown of the other new cards:

  • Silver Sable: (1-Cost, 1-Power) On Reveal: Steals 2 Power from the top card of your opponent's deck. A strong standalone and combo piece.
  • Madame Web: (Ongoing) Moves one card at her location to another location once per turn.
  • Arana: (1-Cost, 1-Power) Activate: Moves the next card you play to the right and gives it +2 Power. A key addition to move-based decks.
  • Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly): (4-Cost, 5-Power) Activate: Spawns an identical clone at another location. Prepare for cloning shenanigans!

New Card Arana

Two new locations join the fray:

  • Brooklyn Bridge: Cards cannot be played here on consecutive turns. Strategic placement is crucial.
  • Otto's Lab: The next card played here pulls a card from your opponent's hand into the location. Expect unexpected twists!

This season introduces exciting new strategic layers with the Activate ability and a fresh batch of Spider-themed cards and locations. Get ready for some web-slinging action!
