The registration period, which opened on January 17, 2025, following the Switch 2 trailer reveal, concluded on January 26, 2025. A free Nintendo Account was required to register, and Nintendo provided detailed registration guidelines and event expectations on their website.
Those not selected initially received an email detailing a waitlist opening on January 29, 2025, at 4 PM ET / 3 PM CT / 1 PM PT, offering a chance to secure a spot should openings arise.
