Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Returns After Extended Maintenance!
Remember Bandai Namco's action RPG, SAOVS (Sword Art Online Variant Showdown), which launched in November 2022? After an unexpectedly long "maintenance" period that began in September 2023, SAOVS is finally back! Initially slated to return this summer (2024), the game's relaunch has been delayed, due to the developers addressing crucial underlying issues.
What's New in the Re-released SAOVS?
The relaunch features Battle Royal Season 1, a four-player battle arena where victory goes to the player with the most knockouts. Compete in League Matches to earn titles and accessories. This season runs until December 30th.
Returning players who endured the extended maintenance are rewarded with 5 Sword Spark Mito Pickup Scout Tickets as part of the Returning Player Campaign.
A "Restart Celebration" event offers even more! This event, running until January 30th, 2025, includes up to 100 free Scouts, login bonuses, and missions with epic rewards.
Players also have a chance to obtain the SSR Sword Spark Mito (a Light-elemental fighter), and the new SSR Ability Cards "Destroyer of Destiny" and "Seasoned Comrades," available until January 6th, 2025.
