Teardown Adds Multiplayer, Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing request from the community. This new feature will first be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback on the multiplayer experience. Tuxedo Labs is particularly keen on hearing from the modding community, as the game's API will be updated to support multiplayer modding, enabling creators to adapt their mods for this new mode.

Alongside the multiplayer announcement, Tuxedo Labs revealed the upcoming Folkrace DLC. This expansion will enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players will have the opportunity to participate in various racing events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to gain a competitive edge on the tracks.

The multiplayer mode will initially be accessible through the "Experimental" branch on Steam. This phase will help the developers refine the feature based on player feedback. Simultaneously, the team is committed to updating the game's API to ensure that existing mods can seamlessly transition into the multiplayer environment. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture in Teardown.

Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs has teased the development of two more major DLCs, with more details to be announced later in 2025. This roadmap promises to keep the Teardown community engaged and excited about the future of the game.
