This month, the mobile 4X strategy game, The Battle of Polytopia, will make esports history with its first-ever Tesla-exclusive tournament. Two Tesla owners will compete head-to-head at the OWN Valencia digital entertainment event in Spain, utilizing their vehicles' built-in entertainment systems.
This isn't as unusual as it might seem. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is a known fan of The Battle of Polytopia, and the game's popularity within the Tesla community is significant.
The tournament, hosted by Spanish gaming personalities Revol Aimar and BaleGG, will be played entirely on the Teslas' touchscreens. Tesla's in-car entertainment system offers a wide selection of mobile games, making this competition possible.
While this event is unique, it's unlikely to spark a widespread esports trend played from inside Teslas. However, it highlights the strong sense of community among Tesla owners, a passion often compared to that of classic car enthusiasts.
