Netflix Games is soon to feature Thirsty Suitors, a unique breakup simulator and narrative-driven action-adventure game. Currently available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, this title blends turn-based RPG combat with skateboarding and cooking.
Players battle exes using a mood-based combat system, aiming to exploit their weaknesses. The game, set in the 1990s, delves into themes of culture, relationships, and self-discovery. Players also prepare South Asian-inspired meals to impress their mother and mend their relationship, while exploring Timber Hills on their skateboard, performing tricks throughout Bearfoot Park.
Thirsty Suitors, developed by Outerloop Games, is a 2022 Tribeca Games Award winner and received multiple award nominations, including the 2024 New York Game Awards and the 2024 GLAAD Media Award.
Outerloop's Chandana “Eka” Ekanayake will participate in a Games for Change Festival panel (June 27th & 28th) discussing representation in gaming. The panel will also feature Matt Korba and Matt Daigle (The Odd Gentlemen), Caitlin Shell (Brandible Games), and Leanne Loombe (Netflix).
