Nintendo and LEGO have already joined forces to deliver some truly impressive sets, like the dynamic LEGO Super Mario & Yoshi set and the first-ever LEGO The Legend of Zelda release. These collaborations celebrate Nintendo’s beloved universes in creative, hands-on ways that fans adore. But let’s face it—Nintendo has a treasure trove of iconic franchises still waiting in the wings for their turn under the LEGO spotlight.
So far, we’ve seen a wide range of *Super Mario*-themed sets, including Donkey Kong-inspired builds, and a growing collection from Animal Crossing. However, beyond these popular series, there's a noticeable gap when it comes to other legendary Nintendo IPs. As a passionate fan of both brands, I’m eager to see what else could come next—and I’m sure I’m not alone.
So the big question is: Which Nintendo franchise should be transformed into a LEGO set next? Let’s explore some exciting possibilities:
With the recent buzz around the upcoming Switch 2, excitement for future Nintendo content is at an all-time high. It’s very possible we’ll continue seeing new LEGO Nintendo sets, especially as Nintendo expands into movies like the new *Mario* film and potentially a live-action *Zelda* series. So what do you think could realistically become a LEGO set by 2025 or later? **Let us know in the comments below!**
What Franchise Would Make the Best LEGO Set?
Personally, I believe *Metroid* would make one of the coolest LEGO sets. With *Metroid Prime 4* on the way, now is the perfect time to launch a line of builds featuring Samus Aran’s iconic gear, alien landscapes, and futuristic environments. Beyond that, I’d love to see official LEGO Pokémon sets—though I realize this may be complicated due to existing licensing agreements with Mattel.
