Sharpshooter

Sharpshooter is a game-changer for Rogues who love to strike from afar. This feat lets you ignore cover, extend your attack range, and boost your damage by 10, albeit with a -5 penalty to hit. With Sharpshooter, your Rogue transforms into a deadly sniper, capable of hitting targets with pinpoint accuracy and increased power, making it an essential choice for optimizing ranged combat.

Skilled

The Skilled feat offers unparalleled versatility for Rogues, granting proficiency in any combination of three skills or tools. Whether you aim to master stealth, acrobatics, and sleight of hand, or become your party's go-to locksmith, tracker, and appraiser, this feat lets you tailor your Rogue's abilities to suit your playstyle. Skilled enhances your Rogue’s adaptability and expertise, making them invaluable in a variety of scenarios.

Athlete

The Athlete feat boosts your Rogue's agility and finesse. It eliminates the extra movement cost for climbing and getting up from prone, and enables running jumps with only a 5-foot run-up. These enhancements make your Rogue more adept at navigating terrain, evading traps, and leaping over obstacles, ensuring they move with grace and speed in any situation. You also gain a +1 to Strength or Dexterity.

Tough

Although Rogues prefer to avoid getting hit, it's nearly impossible to dodge all damage in Baldur’s Gate 3. Even the sneakiest Rogues can falter on a roll or get caught in a large AOE. Given the damage output of Rogues, ensuring their survival is crucial for winning battles. Tough isn't mandatory, but it's a fantastic addition to your Rogue's toolkit. It significantly boosts your hit points, enhancing your survivability. Combined with the Rogue's natural evasiveness, you become incredibly tough to take down.

Mobile

For a hit-and-run style Rogue, Mobile is a stellar choice. You can dart in to deliver a devastating attack, then swiftly retreat without repercussions. It's also a boon in ranged duels, allowing you to snipe enemies and then quickly move out of their reach.

Alert

Avoiding being Surprised is crucial for a Rogue, as an ambush could lead to a quick demise, especially without feats like Tough to bolster your defenses. The Alert feat helps keep your Rogue safe and maintain their valuable DPS. The bonus to initiative is also a great advantage in general combat scenarios.

Dungeon Delver

Baldur’s Gate 3 is packed with traps, locked doors, and chests. Equipping your Rogue, who is already adept at handling such challenges, with the Dungeon Delver feat makes life much easier. You’ll detect most traps before they spring, disable them effortlessly, and breeze through locks. It's a fantastic quality-of-life feat for your Rogue outside of combat.

Crossbow Expert

Crossbow Expert is my top pick for Rogues. If you haven't yet tried wielding a crossbow in Baldur’s Gate 3, you're missing out on a potent damage dealer. Equip your Rogue with a quality crossbow and this feat for devastating results. With Crossbow Expert, you can ignore melee range concerns, enabling sneak attacks up close. Your sneak attacks also deal more damage at all ranges. Plus, there's something undeniably cool about being a crossbow-wielding Rogue.

Lucky

Lucky is a universally beneficial feat across all classes and builds in BG3. With three Luck Points, you can gain advantage on Attack Rolls, Ability Checks, or Saving Throws, increasing your chances of success. You can also use a Luck Point to force an enemy to reroll their attack, potentially turning a hit into a miss. Since these points refresh after each Long Rest, don't hesitate to use them.

Savage Attacker

If you're building a melee-focused Rogue, Savage Attacker is a must-have feat. When you make a melee attack, you roll the damage dice twice and take the higher result. Paired with your Rogue's sneak attacks, this allows you to deliver substantial damage consistently, even when sneak attacks aren't an option.

That’s the rundown on the best feats to turn your Baldur’s Gate 3 Rogue into a formidable force, capable of dealing as much damage as they can take (and they can take quite a bit). If you have a unique loadout, I'd love to hear about it. In the meantime, if you're seeking more tips to enhance your survival in the game, check out our comprehensive guides.
