Ubisoft Confirms More “Driver” Projects After Cancelation of Show Adaptation

Ubisoft recently confirmed to Game File that the anticipated live-action adaptation of the Driver series will not be moving forward. Initially announced in 2021, the series was set to be exclusively streamed on Binge.com. Ubisoft Film & Television head Danielle Kreinik had expressed excitement about the project, stating, "Our mission is to bring our games to life in new and exciting ways and create content set in the world, culture, and community of gaming."

Unfortunately, the project was derailed when Hotrod Tanner LLC, a Ubisoft subsidiary named after the main character of the Driver series, closed down in January. A Ubisoft spokesperson shared with Game File, "We are no longer moving forward with our partnership with Binge for a Driver series."
