A powerful new attachment has arrived in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, dramatically boosting the effectiveness of certain weapons. However, acquiring and using the Buffer Weight Stock isn't straightforward. Here's how to unlock and equip it.
How To Unlock the Buffer Weight Stock in Black Ops 6
Unlike most attachments earned through leveling, the Buffer Weight Stock is unlocked via The Hit List event. In the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer main menu, locate the "Event" tab. Navigate to the "Community" section; the Buffer Weight Stock will be there, ready to unlock.
The community unlocks items in The Hit List event by achieving a total number of eliminations. The Buffer Weight Stock was the first reward, unlocked after eight billion eliminations—a milestone already surpassed. Simply viewing the event page now unlocks the attachment. However, equipping it presents a different challenge.
How To Equip the Buffer Weight Stock in Black Ops 6
Unfortunately, the Buffer Weight Stock's use is limited to just three weapons: the XM4 Assault Rifle, the DM-10 Marksman Rifle, and the XMG Light Machine Gun. This restriction prevents the attachment from dominating gameplay. Its significant accuracy boost, however, makes it a highly sought-after addition for these compatible weapons.
For those lucky enough to use one of these weapons, equipping the Buffer Weight Stock is easy. It's found in the Stock attachment slot within the Gunsmith.
